OUR CHURCH AT A GLANCE

Why Covenant?

We’re named “Covenant” because that is what God makes with His people so that we will be saved: a covenant promise based on the Lord’s gracious work. God made promises that He fulfilled in the New Covenant the Lord Jesus established in His blood. Further, we’re called to be in covenant relationships with each other, as church members, committed to being in a body together.

Our Distinctives

Reformed: We believe in the doctrines of grace, that salvation is by the sovereign mercy of God and not by human will or works (Romans 9:16), and that when we gather for worship we do so with God at the center, careful to worship in Spirit and in truth – the truth of His Word (John 4:23, John 17:17) – and that the church should be organized Biblically, with multiple elders and meaningful membership.

Seven Pillars

Expository Preaching: through the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:17-25).

Knowing God: God according to God, the full revelation (Exodus 34:5-7).

Biblical Gospel: salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Romans 1:16-17).

Genuine Conversion: being born again makes a change (Luke 19:1-10).

Meaningful Membership: being part of the Body (Hebrews 10:19-25).

Leadership & Followership: elders, deacons, members (1 Timothy 5:17-19).

God-Centered Worship: acceptable singing Psalms, etc. (Hebrews 12:28).
